Muchos procesos geológicos formadores de rocas se originan a escala microscópica. Los geólogos tienen una herramienta muy útil para saber la composición de minerales y/o fósiles de las rocas, para saber su historia geológica y para clasificarlas. Se trata del microscopio petrográfico. Los ojos de los participantes en esta actividad disfrutarán de la colorida vidriera abstracta que les ofrece una inmensa catedral, nuestro planeta Tierra.
