Amongst Women in Science

“Women are not going to make it; they are already there”

Margarita Salas

And yet, there are still not enough women in studies and in professions related to science and technology.

Amongst Women in Science aims to increase visibility of the role and participation of women in science through the life and activity of thirty four prestigious women scientists around the world currently leading important areas of knowledge.

The aim is to inspire a greater number of young women to develop their talent inside classrooms, university laboratories, research institutions and businesses, and to participate in that leadership and benefit society as a whole, responding to its main challenges.

Amongst Women in Science is a Science Culture project of the Fundación Séneca - Science and Technology Agency of the Region of Murcia. It aims to increase visibility of the role and participation of women in science by showcasing the strength of “role model" scientists as a means to inspire a greater number of young women to develop their talent activity in university laboratories, research institutions and businesses.
